Worm Composting Workshop with City Farmer

IMG_1872A BIG thanks to Michelle Drewitz of City Farmer for providing a step-by-step demonstration of how-to compost with red wiggler worms!  Worm composting is a method for recycling food waste into a rich, dark, earth-smelling soil conditioner that can be done indoors and outdoors, thus allowing year round composting – perfect for apartments!  The ‘Growing Your Own Food Bank’ Community Gardening Club participants continue to learn healthy and affordable ways to produce their own food each week.  Call 604-872-7676 or email communitygarden@salvationarmyvcfs.com for registration details!
